This website is sponsored by Sue Forde, elected Clallam County Home Rule Charter commissioner, for the purpose of disseminating information and obtaining input from the voters of Clallam County about their desires for changes to the Home Rule Charter.

A Special meeting has been called of the
Home Rule Charter Commission.

It's scheduled for 6 p.m. on November 2, 2007,
in the Courthouse (Room 223).

The meeting is being called for the following:

(1) Presentation by legal counsel regarding citizen concern and review of charter amendment process;

(2) Possible vote on action item that includes forwarding proposed charter text amendments to the Clallam County Auditor for filing and registration in advance of November 7, 2007;

(3) Possible vote on action item that includes forwarding the currently proposed ballot titles and accompanyng charter text amendments to the Clallam County Auditor after January 1, 2008 for filing, registration, and inclusion on the November 2008 general election ballot.

and any other matters regarding the conduct of the business of the Commission.
